Empresas recrutam pós-doutores para inovar

Assim que concluiu o mais alto nível de especialização em uma universidade da Espanha, a pós-doutora em biologia molecular Ana Azambuja, 32, fez o caminho inverso de grande parte de seus colegas: em vez do mundo acadêmico, ela escolheu um trabalho na indústria.
"Eu tinha uma agonia em ver anos de pesquisa na universidade não sendo aplicados. Na indústria, o processo é mais rápido e palpável."
A pesquisadora trabalha no centro de pesquisas da Natura, na Grande São Paulo. Ela desenvolve estudos para retardar o envelhecimento da pele, a maior demanda da companhia.
A partir de março, ela vai integrar uma pesquisa que vai consumir R$ 20 milhões pelos próximos dez anos para investigar todos os fatores que levam o ser humano à sensação de bem-estar.
Azambuja faz parte de um seleto grupo de pesquisadores que desenvolve inovação na iniciativa privada.
Segundo a mais recente pesquisa de Inovação Tecnológica do IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística), a falta de mão de obra qualificada é o segundo maior obstáculo à inovação na indústria brasileira.
O primeiro é o custo elevado.
O presidente do Centro de Gestão e Estudos Estratégicos (CGEE), Mariano Laplane, explica que a presença de "pós-docs" nas grandes corporações é um fenômeno novo.
"Esse processo ainda está emergindo no Brasil. A maior parte das pesquisas ainda é feita nas universidades, até pela quantidade de doutores que o país dispõe."

Em Belém do Pará, outro pós-doutor mantém em paralelo as atividades acadêmicas com a pesquisa no mercado.
Cleidison de Souza, 39, trabalha no instituto de tecnologia da Vale.
Especialista da área de computação, ele desenvolve um software para reduzir os índices de acidentes de trabalho nos trilhos entre Carajás (PA) e São Luís (MA), trecho utilizado pela companhia para o transporte de minério de ferro.
Ele diz que a "fuga" de pós-doutores rumo ao mercado ocorre pela remuneração.
"O salário do professor universitário não é adequado dado o papel desse profissional. Isso influencia a ida dele para a indústria."
O pós-doutorado não é um título acadêmico, mas a parte prática da pesquisa.
Em geral, tem um ano de duração. Ainda não se sabe a quantidade certa de pós-doutores que circula pelo país.
Só a Capes (autarquia do governo responsável pela pós-graduação) forneceu em 2013, mais de 6,1 mil benefícios para o pós-doutorado.
A Fapesp (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo) também é outra entidade que apoia a formação de "pós-docs".

Em seis anos, a fundação concedeu mais de 8.000 bolsas.
